For lunch today, I did what I refer to as the Belcher 8, basically like a figure 8 at the top of White Ranch: Climb Belcher hill to the top, where it T's off with Mustang, but continue right, down Belcher, then past both parking lots, across Sawmill to Mustang and back around to Belcher and down.

I guess when you look at it on the map it doesn't look like a figure 8. More like an ameoba on a stick. In anycase, it is probably more than 2000 ft verticle and the last part of it is some great downhill / cruiser stuff. Once the race season at winter park got started, it was clear to me that my focus was going to be the downhill and the level fast cruiser type riding.

 

Well, no record today, at least overall, 51:31 to the top, and 1:26:45 overall. So i guess that is a record on the downhill section, after the hill climb, so that works.

After some needed time off, Lummoxblog is back.
